Buddhi Power Yoga Teacher Training Program will prepare you to lead an all-level power yoga class – beginners to experienced students.
We offer more actual practice teaching time than any other program in the area. We keep the training group size small. This allows for more practice teaching time for each trainee during training weekends.
each trainee will teach a FULL 90 minute class at the end of training - not group teach a class like many trainings.
You will learn to weave a perfect blend of technical knowledge and philosophy that speaks directly to the students, while still keeping the pace of the class. Emphasis will be on how to
apply yoga philosophy and principles not only in teaching, but also in every day living.
Learn to take control and command a class as you encourage students to be guided by their intuition and work intelligently on their mats.
A minimum of 6 months yoga practice experience is recommended. However, trainees are not required to perform advance asana. This program is for anyone interested in deepening their understanding of yoga. Be prepared to commit and work hard during training session. But also plan to spend time outside of the classroom practicing, reviewing training lessons and completing non-contact hour assignments.
We believe that teaching yoga is not something you "do", but something you "live". This 8 month program allows you to completely immerse yourself in the process. Finish the program with the ability to teach yoga, not just instruct.
Lyn Kehoe will be your lead teacher in the training.

Attendance is mandatory for all sessions. If you have scheduling conflcts on a few of the sessions, please email the Director for other options.
NON-CONTACT HOURS INCLUDE:
WEEKLY ATTENDANCE AT THREE CLASSES PER WEEK AT BUDDHI MAT.
ASSIGNED READING, WRITTEN ASSIGNMENTS THAT WILL INCLUDE WEEKLY HOMEWORK, JOURNAL WRITING, ESSAYS AND REVIEW TESTS. ONLINE ANATOMY COURSE.
WHILE MUCH TIME IS DEDICATED TO PRACTICE TEACHING DURING THE WEEKEND TRAININGS. PLEASE PLAN ON COMMITTING YOUR OWN TIME TO PRACTICING AS WELL.
ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET AND COMPLETED. CERTIFICATION IS NOT AUTOMATIC UPON COMPLETION OF COURSE. CERTIFICATION WILL BE BASED UPON THE TEACHER’S ASSESSMENT OF THE STUDENT'S KNOWLEDGE OF THE MATERIAL, ABILITY TO APPLY AND TEACH.
UPON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION AND GRADUATION OF THE PROGRAM YOU WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR REGISTRATION WITH YOGA ALLIANCE. EMPLOYMENT AT BUDDHI MAT IS NOT GUARANTEED.

This 30-hour program covers the essentials of Yoga Anatomy from the perspective of the breath, the spine, and the limbs. The core concepts of yoga: Prana/Apana, Sthira/Sukha, Brmhana/Langhana serve as a lens through which the vast subject of anatomy becomes focused, fascinating and immensely practical.

Each unit includes online video training with Leslie Kaminoff and Amy Matthews that you will view at home at your own pace. Each unit is between 70 and 190 minutes long. Full text transcripts of all lessons with printable/downloadable handouts, visuals and worksheets are included. You will be required to hand in a completed worksheet for each lesson.
